SAFETY AND SECURITY MINISTRY

The Safety & Security Ministry at Rocklane Christian Church supports our mission to help others know God by providing a safe, welcoming, and prepared environment for worship and fellowship. Through vigilance, compassion, and teamwork, this ministry helps create a space where people can focus on encountering God without distraction.

Safety Team

The Safety Team serves by maintaining awareness, responding to potential threats, and assisting with de‑escalation when needed. Team members work behind the scenes to help ensure a peaceful and secure worship environment during services, special events, and other requested times.

Requirements include:

  • Minimum age of 21
  • Background check and interview
  • One‑year service commitment
  • Availability for Sunday night coverage
  • Willingness to serve special events and additional requests

Training Provided by the Church

All Safety Team training is provided by the church and includes:

  • CPR / AED / First Aid
  • Firearms qualification (for applicable roles)

Safety Team members also participate in monthly team meetings, which cover:

  • Threat detection and situational awareness
  • De‑escalation tactics
  • Round‑table discussions and shared learning
  • Team fellowship, including the occasional meal

Medical Team

The Medical Team provides first‑response care for medical situations and supports the health and wellbeing of our church family. This team plays a vital role in preparedness, compassion, and rapid response during services and events.

Requirements include:

  • Minimum age of 21
  • Background check and interview
  • One‑year service commitment
  • Willingness to serve special events and additional requested times

Medical Team members train and meet alongside the Safety Team to ensure coordinated response, communication, and unity.
