communication on the internet.
The best thing about these forms
of communication is that they
are "SPAM FREE". You can
subscribe to our Blog or or
Podcast and not every see one
unwanted item trying to sell you
on something or other. We ask
you to subscribe to our RSS
feeds and you will be able to
keep up with the latest things
happening here at Rocklane

Understanding
(RSS) feeds
Understanding Real Simple
Syndication (RSS) feeds in not
required to know why they are here
to stay. Blogs and Podcasts have
taken the place of the old email
newsletter. Email newsletters were
great, but the deluge of spam has
made it increasingly painful to
receive and even to actually sort
through your email to read them.
These "RSS Feeds" have become an
alternative to Email Newsletters
with one important difference - NO
SPAM!
Why
Subscribe? You do not need
to subscribe to read our blogs or
listen to our podcast. But
subscribing has advantages. Without
coming back to the website, you will
be alerted to when a new blog is
posted as soon as it posts, or when
a new podcast has been published. .

 What
is a Blog & how do I subscribe?
"Blog" is short for web log. You
can view the blog by clicking the
top icon on the left that look's
like the icon show here to the
right.
If you wish to subscribe to our blog
you will need a blog reader. (If you
have the new Microsoft's Internet
Explorer 7+ you have a blog reader).
If not download and install one of
these:
Internet Explorer 7+,
The Omega Reader,
Opera (Linux),
Shrook (for MAC).
After you have your reader
installed, Subscribing to an RSS
feed is easy. 1).Click to the blog
page from the "B" icon at the top or
the grey Newsletter button. 2). when
the page opens click the the
"Subscribe" button on the blog...
Every time you open the RSS feed
reader it checks for updates to our
blog!

 What
is a Podcast & how do I subscribe?
Podcasting is a simple way to listen
and subscribe to our audio content
on the web. You will need to have
iTunes to listen to our podcast. If
you do already have iTunes
installed, simply click on the icon
at the top right that look similar
to the icon here on the left. If
not, and you wish to subscribe you
will need to 1). Download and
install iTunes on your computer. (iTunes
Download Page) 2). After iTunes
is installed click the icon on the
home page which says to "subscribe
to podcast with itunes". It will
open a new Page and then open
iTunes. 3). Click the "Subscribe to
this Podcast" in you iTunes. It is
very quick and easy. Every Time you
open iTunes, it check to see if we
posted a new podcast. You can also
use this with your iPods to listen
to our podcasts on the go!
